The Careers Centre

The University Careers Centre offers careers advice and information for current students, information and resources for academics to support their students, careers advice for University of Leeds graduates, and liaison with graduate recruiters by

(a)providing support for all aspects of employability through

  • professional careers information, advice and guidance services for all University of Leeds students and alumni, including provision of specialist career management services
  •  provision of individual and group career guidance sessions for postgraduate students and contract research staff 
  • providing career development learning via generic elective and departmental specialist modules and programmes of co-curricular activities

(b) provision of a full range of graduate recruitment and student placement services

(c) organising opportunities for students to meet graduate employers through careers fairs and other recruitment events

(d) supporting an Employability Forum, and networks and links with graduate employers

(e) providing Graduate Business start-up services, including the SPARK service, which advises students, graduates and alumni of the University of Leeds interested in self employment or setting up a business

(f)co-ordinating the alumni Career Mentoring scheme, with Alumni & Development

(g) giving pre-entry guidance for prospective students, in partnership with the Access and Community Engagement team

(h) collecting, collating and reporting on annual information for the Destinations of Leavers of Higher Education (DLHE) survey and other relevant data
